BELOW ARE THE 7 CORE VALUES THAT WE PASSIONATELY PURSUE AS A COMMUNITY.
THE WORD OF GOD
“Devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to exhortation, to teaching.” 1 Timothy 4:13. We are a people devoted to His Word. We are passionate to live life and fellowship around it. The Bible is the very Word of God and reveals Jesus. Through the Holy Spirit, we discover the nature, character, and will of God in the Bible and in turn experience the transformation of our personal lives.
WORSHIP AND PRAYER
“Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.” John 4:23 We want to be people who worship Jesus in Spirit and truth. We love His presence in our midst as we worship and pray together and we regularly celebrate the Lord’s Supper when we gather because we are so thankful for Him and His work of salvation. He is the object of our worship and our obsession. We love to adore Him with worship and commune with Him in prayer.
OBEDIENCE TO THE VOICE OF GOD
“For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.” Romans 8:14. We are a people being led by the Spirit and voice of God. We are committed to living a life of obedience to the leading and instruction of the Lord. We take bold action to do what God directs us to do in His Word and through the Spirits speaking.
THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8. The Christian life is meant to be so much more than a doctrinal statement or a concept; it’s a relationship where we experience the Living God in our midst. Jesus never intended us to live this life alone. He gave us the Holy Spirit to empower us to live the life that Jesus set as the standard.
LIVING ON MISSION
“Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation.” Mark 16:15. We want to be people who align our lives with God’s mission to preach the gospel and to make disciples of all nations. We are focused to proclaim and demonstrate the gospel regularly with neighbors and coworkers. We are passionate to equip and empower every believer to bring the kingdom of God with power into their places of influence.
SUFFERING WITH CHRIST
“For it has been granted to you on behalf of Christ not only to believe in Him, but also to suffer for him.” Philippians 1:29. Christians are supposed to expect, lean into and embrace suffering with Christ. This calling to suffer with joy for the sake of the gospel is a call for all believers and not just for leaders or those in persecuted areas of the world. Instead of seeking to escape trials and live in constant comfort, we endeavor to be a people who stand with joy in any hardship.
AUTHENTIC AND COVENANT RELATIONSHIP
“…from whom the whole body, joined and held together by every joint with which it is equipped, when each part is working properly, makes the body grow so that it builds itself up in love.” Ephesians 4:16. God designed us to grow and thrive in community as the family of God. We were never designed for isolation. We are all joined together as the Body of Christ and are called to walk in a oneness that makes the World come running. Our goal is to create a safe environment where love increases and fear decreases. This creates trust and safety to be vulnerable and share life’s struggles together.
